Looking for a service opportunity this holiday season?
Each year, the Annapolis District United Methodist Men in partnership with the Society of Saint Andrew (SoSA) and local churches deliver 45,000 pounds of potatoes to 5,000 families in the area.
We will meet at Eastport UMC, 926 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 on Sat., Dec 17 between 7am –10am to breakdown 300 50-pound bags into 10-pound bags and deliver the remaining 600 50-bags to area churches, soup kitchens, local pantries and residents.
Included in each bag will be a Christmas card inviting the families to Christmas Eve services at a local United Methodist Church. This is an outreach to not only feed the hungry but to extend an open door to the families. The event is open to all volunteers, including youth and scouts, men and women to help prepare the bags.
